Milan

The second one, now in the Play Store.

Milan is a wedding planner that works offline, never sells your data, and handles a wedding with more than one function.

  1. Specced. Done.
  2. Building. Done.
  3. Final touches. Done.
  4. Submitted for review. Done.
  5. Live. Where it is now.

Open Milan in the Play Store

The planning board, with a card for each function of the wedding, each carrying its own date and its own colour.

One wedding, several functions, one screen.

A wedding isn't one event. It's a Sangeet, a Mehendi, a Haldi and the wedding itself, each with a different guest list and a different headcount, and the numbers don't match. Every competitor's store screenshots show the same three screens: a checklist, a budget, a countdown. None of them show the thing that actually makes the planning hard.

The planning board puts every function on one screen, with its own list and its own count.

What's in it

  • Works fully offline. No account needed to plan a wedding.
  • A planning board with a guest list and a headcount for each function.
  • A budget per function, a card showing who has paid what, and a payment timeline by month.
  • Optional Google sign-in for cloud backup. Sign in only if you want it, nothing required.
  • More than one wedding on the same device. Create them, switch between them.
  • A Hindi interface.
  • No ads. Everything in the first version is free.

How it got out

The short list that stood here, the release signing and the launcher icon, got done, and then a person said it was ready. It went to the store through the same gates as everything else we ship: a person decided the architecture, read the diffs, tested it on real phones, and checked what the app collects against what the listing says.

Nobody put a date on it beforehand, and nobody had to.
